Product needed: SCL Oil Repellent Sealer

SCL-Oil Repellent Sealer is designed to prevent water & oil fluids from entering the porous marble and granite countertops. It allows you to wipe off the stain on the marble or granite surface within 12 hours.

The sealer does not block the capillaries of the stone to “breathe” i.e. it allows vapor transmission.

  • SCL Oil Repellent Sealer does not make the stone surface acid resistant or water proof.
  • Remove penetrated stain using the poultice method before apply SCL Oil Repellent Sealer.

Caution: Use in a well ventilated area.

Usage: Re-apply SCL Oil Repellent Sealer half yearly or when needed.

Direction to use:

    •  Surface must be dry before sealer’s application.

  • Prepare a tray and a roller brush. Put sealer into the tray. Begin to roll the sealer in a small area. A second application is recommended to apply 30 minutes in between coat.
  • Do not allow the sealer to dry on the surface for the last coat.
  • While the sealer is semi-dry, immediately use a dry paper towel or dry cloth to rub the sealer in a circular motion until original luster is obtained.
  • Number of coats shall depend on the porosity of the stone. Generally, polished surface only required one coat.
  • Refrain the surface 48 hours to contact with water (i.e. washing or cleaning with a wet cloth).
